WHAT’S YOUR ROLE AT NOLIA AND WHAT DO YOU DO?

My role here is the Graphic Design Intern. I’ll be doing design work, whether it be for social media posts or work for clients.

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST MOMENT — WHETHER IN WORK, SCHOOL, BUSINESS — SO FAR?

Getting to graduate from Saint Joseph’s University is my greatest moment right now. When my last college closed after I finished my sophomore year, I didn’t think I would be able to get my degree. So getting to get my degree and go to a school I loved was a great moment for me.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB?/WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT?

Getting to create is my favorite thing. I have a style, and have certain things I like to design more, but getting to design for different things that I wouldn’t choose on my own is always a cool experience. I’m most excited to get the chance to use my skills for all sorts of projects.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Just getting the opportunity to use my creativity and do something I love for my career motivates me.

WHO DO YOU LOVE TO FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND WHY?

I follow a lot of concert photographers, graphic designers, artists, and bands. I use Instagram more like Pinterest. I like to see all the different work people create. When I’m using Instagram more traditionally, I like to stay connected my my photographer friends, and add new photographers I meet when I do shows.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY?

My favorite piece of technology is my laptop because I have all of my programs on it. I basically live on my computer. My favorite programs on it at the moment are Adobe Illustrator and Lightroom.

WHAT’S THE ONE APP OR GADGET YOU THINK NEEDS TO BE INVENTED?

I think they already made them, but glasses that record in super high quality, because I could rewatch concerts I went to, and then don’t need to worry about recording on my phone and missing things.

WHERE CAN SOMEONE FIND YOU WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT SCHOOL OR WORK?

When I’m not at work, you can find me hanging out with my dog, Manhattan, since my best friend lives there, or at a concert, whether I’m shooting photos or there for fun.

WHAT’S THE BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ RECENTLY?

I’m not a huge reader, but I want to get into reading more.

WHAT ARE YOUR PODCAST RECOMMENDATIONS?

I’m more of a music person, but one podcast I love is Rotten Mango because I’m a big true crime person.

WHAT’S ONE THING YOU CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT?

This is technically three, but my laptop and both of my cameras. My laptop has all my artwork and all of my edited photos, so that’s a must. My cameras I most definitely need since I use them all the time, and because of sentimental reasons. My one camera is the first camera I ever had, which was a gift from my parents, and my second camera is the first kind of pricey camera I bought on my own

WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING ITEM ON YOUR DESK?

The most interesting thing on my desk is probably my concert box. I have all of my concert tickets, confetti, wristbands, and photo passes in there.
