WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT NOLIA ROOTS AND WHAT DO YOU DO?

Marketing Intern – work on expanding Nolia Root’s network, support Nolia in website and social media audits to make it more user-friendly and customer-focused, and marketing strategy!

WHAT’S YOUR GREATEST MOMENT — WHETHER IN WORK, SCHOOL, OR BUSINESS — SO FAR?

It isn’t work, school, or business-related but, I hiked a mountain for a week, it was a crazy life-changing experience that I learned so much from. Being outdoors with only basic necessities really puts your life into perspective! (no showering, deodorant, or bathrooms – it was an interesting experience!)

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB?/WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR?

I haven’t had a marketing internship and I am super excited to expand my knowledge on branding and expanding businesses. I think this internship will be exciting, thought-provoking, and collaborative, which is something I was looking to find in an internship.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?

Helping other people achieve their goals. I am a huge people pleaser and am always working to help people succeed.

WHO DO YOU LOVE TO FOLLOW ON TWITTER OR INSTAGRAM AND WHY?

@ourseasns on Instagram is a clothing brand but it also works to raise mental health awareness for college students and embrace emotions. I like following this account because I know many people, directly and indirectly, impacted by mental health and I think it is important to see posts about mental health every once in a while.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY?

I love my apple watch. It keeps me more connected than my phone does. It also motivates me so much with the activity rings, I always want to close each ring so it gets me to work out every day.

WHAT’S ONE APP OR GADGET YOU THINK NEEDS TO BE INVENTED?

An app that knows all of the clothing items in your closet and will randomly generate cute outfits for you. You would be able to insert the occasion so the app knows what style of clothing you are looking for and it would understand your style and what you think is cute.

WHERE CAN SOMEONE FIND YOU ON A DAY YOU’RE NOT AT SCHOOL OR WORK?

If I could be doing anything it would be skiing. That’s an activity that will relieve my stress in an instant. Since that’s not really realistic, I would probably be laying in bed. I love having alone time and it’s super important for me to just have time to relax and have time to do nothing without any worries.

WHAT’S THE BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ RECENTLY?

I recently read One of Us is Lying. Whenever I have free time to read a book I like reading something that won’t take a lot of thinking and it’s just an easy read. This was a murder mystery that I really enjoyed. Although, I would like to get myself into reading lifestyle books or books about mental health!

WHAT ARE YOUR PODCAST RECOMMENDATIONS?

For college girls, I started listening to one called Golden Hour Podcast, the hosts are two recent Miami University grads that talk about navigating college and post-grad in a big city.

WHAT’S ONE THING YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?

Shoesssss!!! Kind of a basic response but I love shopping for shoes and that is the one thing I will spend money on without feeling bad about it!!

WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING ITEM ON YOUR DESK?

My necklace that my dad got for my high school graduation that my family got refurbished and they handed it down to me for my high school graduation.
